The 30 Squats & 30 Pushups Experiment

Reading Time: < 1 minutes

The Experiment

I committed to doing 30 squats and 30 pushups daily for the month of August 2021.

My Experience

I was on the road for the majority of the month. I was always able to squeeze in this workout. It takes about 3 minutes to complete. I liked that it didn’t require equipment nor a warmup. I found myself doing the workout in the natural breaks of my days. I was a bit sore in the first few workouts. I was able to easily do the 30 pushups in a row after about a week of doing three sets of ten reps. This workout could also be substituted with 60 full burpees or any other exercises that you prefer.

Takeaways

  1. This workout was key for traveling. I will keep it in my travel toolkit.
  2. I won’t keep doing this workout on a daily basis.
  3. However, I will attempt to maintain my minimum to 30 pushups in a row.
  4. That said, I will keep dropping down to do 30 in the natural transitions of the day every now and then.
